Hertha BSC ist einer der größten Sportvereine aus Berlin. Der Verein hat seinen Sitz in dem Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Neben weiteren Sportarten wie Boxen, Kegeln und Tischtennis ist Fußball die bedeutendste Abteilung. Der Spielbetrieb der Bundesliga-Profis, der Amateur- sowie den der A-Jugend-Mannschaften wird durch die im Jahr 2002 gegründete Hertha BSC Kommanditgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung auf Aktien (Hertha BSC KG mbH aA) durchgeführt. Persönlich haftender Gesellschafter (Komplementär) ist die vereinseigene Hertha BSC Verwaltung GmbH, einziger Kommanditaktionär ist gegenwärtig der e.V. Die Fußball-Heimspiele trägt die Profimannschaft im größten Multifunktionsstadion Berlins, dem Olympiastadion, aus.
Geschichte
Hertha 92: Die Anfänge
Hertha BSC wurde am 25. Juli 1892 als BFC Hertha 1892 gegründet. Erst im Jahr 1923 entstand nach der Fusion mit dem Berliner Sport-Club (BSC) der bis heute vollständige Vereinsname. Zwar trennten sich wenige Jahre später beide Vereine wieder. Das Kürzel BSC durfte die Hertha aber weiterhin im Namen tragen.
