Die EC-Qualifikation ist eine weitere Möglichkeit, sich für den Europacup zu qualifizieren.
Teilnehmer
Es nehmen insgesamt 24 Teams an der EC-Qualifikation teil:
- 2 schlechtesten Länder die 5. = 2 Teams
- von Land Nr. 2 bis einschließlich Nr. 9 die 6. = 8 Teams
- alle Länder die 7. = 14 Teams
Nachrücker: Soweit es in einem Land Nachrücker in die EL bzw. in den EC gibt, rücken ebenso viele Vereine in die EC-Qualifikation nach.
Modus
Es gibt 3 K.O.-Runden mit jeweils Hin- und Rückspiel.
Für die Auslosung gelten die gleichen Regeln und Einschränkungen wie beim EC. Einziger Unterschied ist die Teilnehmerzahl und damit die abweichende Topfgröße (in der EC-Quali 12 Mannschaften pro Topf).
Die drei Sieger der dritten K.O.-Runde qualifizieren sich für den BMO Europa-Cup.
