Ligabetrieb
Jede Abteilung des Vereins nimmt am Ligabetrieb teil. In welcher Liga die jeweilige Teilnahme stattfindet, hängt am sportlichen Erfolg.
Eine Profiabteilung kann bis zur ersten Liga aufsteigen.
Eine Amateurabteilung kann maximal bis zur Amateurliga aufsteigen. Darunter kann sich die Amateurklasse befinden. Außerdem kann die unterste Liga eines Landes eine so genannte Mixliga sein, mit Profivereinen und Amateuren. Amateure steigen aus der Mixliga in die Amateurklasse auf, falls diese existiert, sonst in die Amateurliga.
Die Jugendabteilung ist, losgelöst vom sonstigen Ligabetrieb, in einer der Jugendligen zu finden.
