Der Verein
Die Aufnahme von Víkingur Gøta ist das Resultat einer beispiellosen Kampagne des Skandinavien-Forums beim BMO. Nachdem in der Saison 29 mit Esbjerg FB und FC Midjylland bereits zwei neue Teams hinzugekommen waren, haben die Skandinavier den Umbau Ihres Verbands weiter mit viel Elan und Unterstützung von Außen vorangetrieben. Dabei ist nicht nur die Gründung des neuen Vereins aus Gøta herausgekommen (im Austausch wurde Moss FK aus dem Wettbewerb genommen), sondern auch eine Erweiterung des Länderverbundes Skandinavien um die Färöer Inseln. Für den Managerposten des Neulings konnte der erfahrene und Skandinavien affine Heijura gewonnen werden, der sogleich mit einem 20-Jahres-Vertrag an sein neues Team gebunden wurde.
