Die Saison 31 begann am 29.08.2011 und endete am ??? mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 32. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 17.09.2011 ausgespielt.

Neuerungen
Ligaprämien
Die Ligaprämien wurden ab der Saison 31 für jeden Tabellenplatz um ca. 5% und werden ab der nächsten Saison voraussichtlich nochmals um ca. 5% erhöht.
Zwar sind die Ligaprämien bereits an die Durchschnittsstärke der jeweiligen Liga gekoppelt, jedoch stiegen die Ausgaben proportional stärker als die Durchschnittsstärken der Ligen, so dass hier ein Ausgleich nötig war.
Ziel dieser Maßnahme ist es, das BMO-weite Geldvolumen auf solidem Niveau zu stabilisieren.
Fairplay-Kommission
Um das Fairplay auf dem Transfermarkt sicherzustellen, prüft die Fairplay-Kommission (FPK) Transfers auf die Einhaltung marktüblicher Gepflogenheiten und greift ggf. ein, indem Transfers storniert werden. Hierfür wird auch weiterhin die Unterstützung durch die Manager benötigt, die jeden Transfer anonym als fair oder unfair bewerten können.
Ab der Rückrunde der Saison 31 wurde die Abstimmungsfrist jedoch auf 48 Std. beschränkt und das Abstimmungsergebnis erst nach Ablauf der Frist angezeigt. Transfers, die mindestens 7 Unfair-Stimmen erhalten haben (in der Saisonvorbereitung: mindestens 3), werden routinemäßig von der FPK überprüft und die betroffenen Manager per IGM informiert. Die Untersuchung gilt stillschweigend als abgeschlossen, wenn die betroffenen Manager keine weitere Nachricht von der FPK binnen 7 Tagen ab dem Transfer erhalten. Eine Stornierung durch die FPK ist danach nicht mehr möglich.
Hiermit soll der berechtigten Kritik begegnet werden, dass bei untersuchten Transfers teilweise mehr als eine Woche lang Ungewissheit herrschte, ob eine Stornierung drohte oder nicht.
Ferner wurden die internen Richtlinien zur Bewertung von Transfers noch stärker formalisiert, um eine möglichst objektive Bewertung aller Transfers zu ermöglichen.
