| - | Nachdem Joernie Trainer Demetrio Albertini zum Amateurtrainer befördert hatte, holte er erneut einen Italiener als Juniorentrainer an den Rio Douro. Doch diesmal war es kein Jungspund, sondern ein äußerst erfahrener Fußballlehrer: '''Cristiano Lucarelli''' (59/3). Für Lucarelli war dieses Engagement allerdings kein Neuland. Er hatte zuvor schon die Jugendteams von CD Santa Clara, Vitoria Guimaraes und Atletico Portugal Lissabon betreut und auch beim FC Porto war er bereits einmal unter Vertrag (Saisons 30 bis 31). Lucarelli konnte auf der guten Vorarbeit von Albertini aufbauen und ein sehr eingespieltes Team übernehmen. Trotzdem fiel ihm der Erfolg, den er mit den Junioren des FC Porto hatte, nicht den Schoß. Am Saisonende standen seine Jungs nämlich auf Platz 1 der Campeonato Nacional Juniores 1. Punktgleich mit dem Tabellenzweiten Sporting Lissabon (68 Punkte) gab das um zwei Tore bessere Torverhältnis den Ausschlag. Für den FC Porto war es die sechste portugiesische Juniorenmeisterschaft. In der Ewigen Tabelle der höchsten Jugendklasse Portugals festigte der FC Porto damit seinen ersten Platz (1.688 Punkte) vor dem FC Vitoria Setubal (1.488 Punkte). | ||
