Der Sportverein Austria Salzburg, kurz SV Austria Salzburg, ist ein österreichischer Fußballverein aus der Stadt Salzburg. Salzburg ist mit rd. 150.000 Einwohnern die viertgrößte Stadt Österreichs. Das historische Zentrum der "Mozartstadt" gehört zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO. Salzburg ist ein bedeutender Messe- und Kongressstandort mit vielen Handels- und Dienstleistungsbetrieben sowie vor allem ein bekannter Tourismusort. Die Salzburger Festspiele sind ein auch international bedeutsames Musikfestival.
Der SV Austria Salzburg wurde 2005 im Anschluss an den Einstieg von Red Bull beim gleichnamigen Bundesliga-Verein SV Austria Salzburg und dessen Neuausrichtung als FC Red Bull Salzburg gegründet. Als Vorbild dienten die fangetragenen englischen Vereine AFC Wimbledon und FC United of Manchester. Der Verein sieht sich als Nachfolger der früheren Austria und beruft sich als solcher auf deren Geschichte von 1933 bis 2005, deren Traditionen und deren Erfolge. Die Vereinsfarben sind dementsprechend Violett und Weiß.
Bei BMO ist der SV Austria Salzburg seit Saison 14 vertreten.
