Der ZSKA Moskau (Zentraler Sportclub der Armee Moskau) unterhält mehrere Sportmannschaften in verschiedenen Bereichen.
Aufgrund des militaristischen Hintergrundes und der anhaltenden Erfolge, wurde die Abteilung Fussball vor fast 20 Jahren ausgegliedert und spielt seitdem unter ihrem vollen Namen FK ZSKA Moskau.
Seit Saison 10 spielen die Koni (dt. die Pferde), so der Spitzname der Moskoviter, in der ersten slavischen Liga.

Manager des ZSKA
Bomber (2007/05 - 2007/01):
Erster Hauptverantwortlicher und Wegbereiter für den späteren Erfolg war Bomber, unter dessen Führung der ZSKA Moskau mehrere Titel einfahren konnte (mehr dazu unter "Erfolge").
Johnny (2007/01 - jetzt):
Aktueller Generalverantwortlicher bei den Koni ist der deutsche Manager Johnny. Erfolgreich betreut hat dieser Manager bereits den holländischen Verein Vitesse Arnheim, sowie die Blues von Birmingham City, mit denen er den Aufstieg auf Position 1 in Saison 11 feiern durfte und damit seinen ersten, persönlichen Erfolg auf Mannschafts- und Finanzebene verbuchen konnte. Sein letztes Engagement hatte er im Tausch bei St. Gallen und dem englischen Traditionsverein FC Everton. Seinen Job bei den Koni sieht er eigenen Angaben zufolge als "sportlich absolut reizvolle Herausforderung, für die ich mir ein längeres Engagement durchaus vorstellen kann".

Turniere und Wettbewerbe
Zur Saisonvorbereitung nimmt der ZSKA in regelmäßigen Abständen an internationalen Turnieren teil. So war der ZSKA zur Vorbereitung auf die Saison 16 auch bei den Rotterdam Classics zu finden. Aktuell findet man die Moskoviter auf der Teilnehmerliste des berühmten Carlsberg-Cup.
