Die Blackburn Rovers (offiziell: Blackburn Rovers Football Club) – auch bekannt als The Rovers – sind ein Fußballverein aus der Stadt Blackburn, Lancashire, England.
Geschichte
Der Verein wurde zur Saison 5 gegründet und spielte von Beginn in der Premier League. Nach dem Abstieg in The Championship, in Saison 7, spielten die Rovers dort für zwei Spielzeiten. Mit dem Aufstieg zurück in die Premier League in Saison 9 gelang dem Verein die Wende. Zwar folgte noch mal ein Abstieg aber seit Saison 11 sind die Rovers wieder ununterbrochen in der Premier League. Seit Saison 13 gibt es auch ein Amateurteam. Ab der Saison 16 gehören die Rovers zur Spitzengruppe der Vereine in der Premier League.
