Das BMO-Tippspiel wurde erstmals in Saison 50 aus Anlass des BMO-Jubiläums (50 Saisons BMO, 15 reale Jahre BMO) veranstaltet.
Ab Saison 50
Beim BMO-Tippspiel konnte man Tipps abgeben, welcher Verein im jeweiligen Land Meister und Pokalsieger wird sowie welcher Klub die BMO Champions Leage bzw. die BMO Europa Leage gewinnen wird.
Für jeden richtigen Tipp gab es 100.000 €. Hinzu kamen Prämien, wenn man insgesamt 7 richtige Tipps (+ 500.000 €), 12 richtige Tipps (+ 1 Mio. €) oder 17 richtige Tipps (+ 3 Mio. €) abgab.
Abzugeben waren 22 Tipps. Am ersten BMO-Tippspiel haben 68 Manager teilgenommen.
Wegen des großen Anklangs, den das BMO-Tippspiel gefunden hatte, wurde es jede Saison weitergeführt.
Ab Saison 63
Seit der Saison 63 wird das BMO-Tippspiel von Aotearoa organisiert. Seitdem gelten folgende Regeln:
- Jeder tippt die Meister, die Pokalsieger und die europäischen Titelträger.
- Jeder Teilnehmer tippt aus seinem Landesverband die drei Absteiger aus Liga 1 und die Aufsteiger aus Liga 2.
- Zusammengefasst:
- 7 Tipps Meister
- 7 Tipps Pokalsieger
- 2 Tipps europäische Sieger
- 3 Tipps Absteiger aus Liga 1 des eigenen Verbands
- 3 Tipps Aufsteiger aus Liga 2 des eigenen Verbands
- Summa summarum macht das 22 Tipps.
- Gewinne:
- Pro richtigem Tipp 50.000 € für den Verein des Tippers
- Bonus ab Anzahl korrekter Tipps 5 = 250.000 €
- Bonus ab Anzahl korrekter Tipps 10 = 500.000 € zzgl. ein weiteres Trainingslager in der nächsten Saison
- Bonus ab Anzahl korrekter Tipps 15 = 1.000.000 € zzgl. ein weiteres Trainingslager in der nächsten Saison zzgl. ein weiteres Jugendscouting
- Bonus ab Anzahl korrekter Tipps 20 = 2.000.000 € zzgl. ein weiteres Trainingslager in der nächsten Saison zzgl. ein weiteres Jugendscouting
- Bonus bei Anzahl korrekter Tipps 22 = 2.500.000 € zzgl. ein weiteres Trainingslager in der nächsten Saison zzgl. ein weiteres Jugendscouting
