Die Saison 72 begann am 02.02.2023 mit der Saisonvorbereitung und endete am 08.05.2023 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 73. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 25.02.2023 ausgespielt.

Die Administratioren führten eine Umfrage durch, ob die Auswärtstorregel, die von der UEFA schon vor einiger Zeit abgeschafft worden ist, auch bei BMO wegfallen soll. An der Abstimmung nahmen 32 Manager teil, 17 sprachen sich für die Beibehaltung der Auswärtstorregel bei BMO aus, 15 dagegen. Damit galt die Auswärtstorregel für internationale Wettbewerbe bei BMO weiterhin.
