Die Administratoren führten eine Umfrage durch, ob die Auswärtstorregel, die von der UEFA schon vor einiger Zeit abgeschafft worden war, auch bei BMO wegfallen solle. An der Abstimmung nahmen 32 Manager teil, 17 sprachen sich für die Beibehaltung der Auswärtstorregel aus, 15 dagegen. Damit galt bei die Auswärtstorregel für die BMO Champions League und die BMO Europa League weiterhin.
