Der Verein
Vålerenga (offiziell: Vålerenga IF Fotball (Vålerengens Idrettsforening)) ist ein Fußballverein in der norwegischen Hauptstadt Oslo. Er wurde am 29. Juli 1913 gegründet.
Valeranga IF st ein Gründungsmitglied des Länderverbundes Skandinavien. Nach vielen Jahren der Erstklassigkeit begann mit dem Abstieg nach der Saison 23 in die Skandinavia 2 eine Zeit des chaotischen Managements. Trotz eines relativ hohen Stärkeschnitts konnte seitdem kein Manager längerfristig an den Verein gebunden werden. In Folge desen wurden nach der Saison 28 sämtliche Abteilungen von Valerenga IF aus dem Spielbetrieb entfernt. Der vakante Platz im Verband wurde von Esbjerg IF eingenommen.
