Spieler können auf zwei Arten abgewertet werden:
- Formbedingte Abwertung: - vgl. hierzu Hauptartikel Formauswertung
- Ereignisbedingte Abwertung:
Spieler, die ein bestimmtes Alter überschritten haben, erhalten am Ende der Saison mit einer bestimmten Wahrscheinlichkeit eine Altersabwertung. Trifft diese Abwertung einen Spieler der Stärke 1, dann beendet er mit sofortiger Wirkung seine Karriere. Altersabwertungen können folgende Spieler treffen:
Torwart, ab 35 Jahren Abwehrspieler, ab 34 Jahren Mittelfeldspieler, ab 34 Jahren Stürmer, ab 33 Jahren
Die Wahrscheinlichkeit hängt dabei von der Anzahl der Jahre ab, die der Spieler älter als der oben angegebene Wert ist:
- 1 Jahr älter: 35%
- 2 Jahre älter: 40%
- 3 Jahre älter: 45%
- 4 Jahre älter: 50%
- 5 Jahre älter: 60%
