Zu Beginn der Saison 82 wurde Joernie in den Kreis der Ligaleiter berufen und mit der Betreuung der Iberia-Liga beauftragt. Iberias bisherige LL Aotearoa übernahm von Ralle die Zuständigkeit für die internationalen Wettbewerbe BMO Champions League und BMO Europa League.
