Der Verein
Nach vielen Jahren der Erstklassigkeit begann mit dem Abstieg nach der Saison 23 in die Skandinavia 2 bei Valerenga IF eine Zeit des gepflegten Chaos. Trotz eines relativ hohen Stärkeschnitts konnte seitdem kein Manager längerfristig an den Verein gebunden werden. In Folge desen wurden nach der Saison 28 sämtliche Abteilungen von Valerenga IF aus dem Spielbetrieb entfernt. Der vakante Platz im Länderverbund Skandinavien wurde von Esbjerg IF eingenommen.
