Gründung des FC Hibernian
Der Klub wurde im August 1875 von Mitgliedern der römisch-katholischen Saint Patrick's Church gegründet.Die Gründung fand in der Saint Mary's Street Hall statt, die heute noch existiert. Die Hibs waren damit der erste größere Verein in Schottland für die Mitglieder der irisch-katholischen Bevölkerung. Der Vereinsname Hibernia ist der lateinische Name für Irland und reflektiert somit seine Wurzeln, die auf irische Auswanderer zurückgehen. So diente der Klub unter anderem als Vorbild für Dundee Hibernian dem heutigen Dundee United und Celtic FC, die sich bei ihrer Gründung fast Glasgow Hibernian genannt hätten.

Seit der Saison 8 beim BMO dabei.
Der Verein ist seit der Gründung der Liga immer in der 1.Liga gewesen und noch nie Abgestiegen.
Die Vereinsfarben sind Grün und Weiß.
Erfolge:Leider muss ich sagen hatte der Verein noch keine Erfolge.

Seit der Gründung des Vereins gab es schon 10 Manager.
Der FC Hibernian war wie viele andere Vereine in Schottland auch am Multi-Using Skandal beteiligt.
