Die Copa America (U21) der Saison 22 wurde vom Fussballverband der beiden KaribikinselnTrinidad und Tobago ausgerichtet. Gespielt wurde in zwei Vierergruppen. Jedes Team bekam 6 Tore auf das Torkonto, eine Teilung in Heim- und Auswärtstorkonto gab es nicht. Die jeweils Erst- und Zweitplatzierten zogen ins Halbfinale ein. Die Erstplatzierten bekamen hierbei 4 Tore auf ihr Torkonto gutgeschrieben, die Zweitplatzierten 3 Tore. Die Copa America der U21-Junioren wird zum insgesamt vierten Mal ausgetragen, Titelverteidiger hierbei ist Argentinien.
Gastgeber und Austragungsorte
Den Zuschlag für diese Copa America erhielt Trinidad und Tobago. Es ist das erstemal, dass die beiden Karibikinseln ein internationales Tunier ausrichten.
