Die Saison 38 begann am 22.07.2013 und endete am ??? mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 39. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 10.08.2013 ausgespielt.

Neuerungen
Kurz vor dem Start des Ligenbetriebs wurden zwei Regeländerungen bekannt gegeben:
Kaderprüfung
Ab der Kaderprüfung vor dem 1. TAT war es ab sofort nicht mehr möglich, einen Kader durch den Verkauf oder das Verleihen eines Spielers so zu verändern, dass er gegen die Kaderregularien verstößt (mind. 20 Spieler, mind. 10 Inländer).
Nicht-EU-Auslänger
Die Beschränkung auf 5 Nicht-EU-Ausländer wurde aufgehoben. Damit orientierte sich BMO an den Statuen der DFL, die eine entsprechende Beschränkung bereits 2006/07 aufgehoben hatte.
