La Liga Iberia ist die höchste Spielklasse des zur Saison 51 neu gegründeten Länderverbunds Iberia Liga. Vorgängerligen waren für die Primeira Liga Portugals und der Primeira Division Spaniens.

Jedes der 20 Teams der Liga tritt in Hin- und Rückspielen gegen jeden anderen Verein der Liga Alpe-Adria A an. Die Mannschaft mit den meisten Punkten aus allen Spielen wird Alpe-Adria-Meister.

Aus der Liga Alpe-Adria A steigen die letzten drei Mannschaften in die Liga Alpe Adria B, die zweithöchste Spielklasse, ab.
