Das reale Vorbild
Trier ist das BMO-Pendant zum realen Verein Eintracht Trier welcher zur Zeit in der Oberliga Südwest spielt.
Trier beim BMO
Trier erblickte in der Saison 5 unter Manager Mad Leguan das Licht der BMO-Welt in der 2. Bundesliga in Deutschland. Besonderes Aufsehen erregte der Verein schon während seiner Zweitligazeit, als er in seiner zweiten Saison den Pokalsieg erringen konnte und es in der darauffolgenden Saison im Europacup schaffte, ein paar Runden zu überstehn. Das nächste größere Ereignis, abgesehen vom Aufstieg in Liga 1, war der spektakuläre Managertausch mit Wolfsburg in Saison 11, als Manager Lex nach Trier kam, während Mad Leguan sich nach Wolfsburg verabschiedete.
Beide Manager konnten die Erfolge des anderen im großen und ganzen bei ihren neuen Vereinen fortsetzen.
Einen Rückschlag für Trier gab es in Saison 14, als man überraschenderweise mit klarem Abstand zu den Nichtabstiegsplätzen den Gang in die Liga 2 antreten musste. Und das zu einer Zeit, als man sich in der ersten Liga etabliert wähnte. Allerding ließ Trier sich davon nicht abschrecken, mit neuem Zweitligapunktrekord meldete man sich in der darauffolgenden Saison in der ersten Liga zurück, darauf bedacht, nicht noch einmal abzusteigen.
Kündigte Manager Lex doch schon bei seinem Antritt in einem Zehnjahresplan an, dass man in Saison 20 die Meisterschaft holen wolle.
In Saison 16 gab es dann einen neuen Höhepunkt. Mit dem 6. Tabellenplatz qualifizierte sich Trier zum 1. Mal für die EC-Qualifikation.
