Theo Zwarthoed ist ein holländischer Torhüter. Er stand von Saison 7 bis Saison 17 bei AZ Alkmaar, seinem Heimatverein, unter Vertrag, bevor er zu Beginn der Saison 18 zum SL Benfica Lissabon wechselte.
In Alkmaar verbrachte Zwarthoed die größte Zeit seiner Karriere und war dort als Stammtorhüter über 10 Jahre gesetzt. Zudem war er die letzten Jahre Kapitän der Mannschaft. Er zählt zu den Aufstiegshelden aus Saison 7 und krönte seine Alkmaarer Zeit mit der Meisterschaft in Saison 17, nach der er seinen Weggang bekannt gab.
Bei der WM in Luxemburg/Belgien in Saison 13 kam der Holländer sogar zu zwei Einsätzen in der Nationalmannschaft.
