So kam ich zum BMO
Seit 08.01.2005 (Beginn der Saison 9) bin ich Manager bei BMO. Zu diesem Fußballmanager bin ich eher zufällig gekommen. Ich habe in Google nach "FC Pau" gesucht, weil ich vor Jahren mal in Pau war. Unter den Treffern der Suchanfrage war auch der FC Pau, der bei Bulimao in der dritten französischen Liga existierte und der - ja, keinen Manager hatte! Also meldete ich mich an, bewarb mich und wenige Stunden später stellte mich der damalige Ligaleiter Frankreichs, inkoeln, beim FC Pau ein.
Natürlich wollte ich mit FC Pau möglichst schnell aufsteigen. In Gedanken sah ich mich schon in der Ligue 1, doch die Realität brachte mich schnell auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück. Gegen die Amateure der großen französischen Klubs war in der Ligue National für den FC Pau nicht viel zu holen. Am Ende stand ein 8. Platz und die Erkenntnis, dass man einen langen Atem brauchen würde, um Pau nach oben zu bringen.
Als sich dann zur Saison 10 die Chance bot, mit Vitoria Guimaraes einen Aufsteiger in die SuperLiga zu managen, griff ich zu und verließ schweren Herzens meine erste Liebe Pau. Dachte ich zunächst, nur in Frankreich lasse sich prima Leben, so machte ich nun die Erfahrung, dass es auch in Portugal richtig Spaß machte, als BMO-Manager zu agieren. Die SuperLiga ist im Vergleich mit den anderen europäischen Ligen relativ ausgeglichen, so dass auch ein Aufsteiger nicht nur als Punktelieferant dienen muss.
