Keine Veränderung gab es bei der Trainerposition. Der Titelgewinn im Taca de Portugal sprach klar dafür, Miguel Ruiz Jiménez (62/10) als Trainer weiter zu beschäftigen. Das entsprach der Tradition beim FC Porto, wonach ein Trainer, der einen Titel geholt hat, auch dann weitermachen darf, wenn Porto die Meisterschaft nicht gewonnen hat.
