Kurze BMO-Vereinsgeschichte
Birmingham City ist ein Verein aus England.
Wie kein anderer Verein ist die Geschichte von Birmingham City ein Pendeln zwischen großem Glanz als beste Zweitligamannschaft und großem Elend als schlechteste Erstligamannschaft. Drei Aufstiege und bald auch den dritten Abstieg verzeichnet die Vereinschronik.
Der Verein kam in Saison 6 zum BMO-Verband und stieg damals in der zweiten Liga (The Championship) ein.
Mit 10 Managern seit Saison 6 Birmingham City zu den Vereinen, die zwischen Kontinuität und raschem Wechsel schwanken.
Der zweite Manager Zunfti erspielt gleich in Saison 6 mit Platz 3 den Aufstieg in die Premier League und hielt den Verein auch in Saison 7 mit Platz 11 im Erstligamittelfeld.
Für eine Saison war dann Manager inkoeln Nachfolger im Chefsessel und erreichte zum Abschluss der Saison 8 Platz 14 in der Premier League.
Dann kam die lange Zeit von Manager johnny, der den Verein in den Saisons 9 bis 12 managte.
Sportlich ging der eingeschlagene Abwärtstrend zunächst weiter, Platz 15 in Saison 9 und dann der Abstieg mit Platz 20 in Saison 10 mit mageren 24 Punkten als Tabellenletzter.
Saison 11 war die Glanzzeit für die Fans - der direkte Wiederaufstieg auf Platz 1 der zweiten Liga, damals im harten Widerstreit mit dem letztlichen Zweiten Leyton Orient um die Tabellenspitze. Unglaubliche 86 Punkte und 103 Tore zeigten, dass Birmingham City die zweite Liga stärkemäßig dominierte.
Nach großem Glanz erfolgte dann der noch tiefere Absturz als Erstliganeuling in Saison 12 - magere 18 Punkte und ein furchtbares Torverhältnis von 48:114 ließen Birmingham City als abgeschlagener Tabellenletzter wieder absteigen - das war dann auch der Abschied von Manager johnny.
Danach übernahm Milebi den Verein und führte ihn geduldig 3 Saisons lang bis zum Aufstieg. Platz 6 noch in Saison 13, erneut Platz 6 in Saison 14 und dann endlich in Saison 15 der Verein wieder einmal auf Platz 1 der zweiten Liga - eine Parallele zur Saison 9. Der Weggang von Milebi zu Blau-Weiß Hamburg stürzte den Verein in eine Krise.
Als dritte Manager der Saison 16 verantwortet Manager sandrock nun die Geschicke - und möglicherweise wiederholt sich das Schicksal von Birmingham City als Tabellenletzter ein drittes Mal.
Der Verein spielt trotz seiner oftmaligen Erstligazugehörigkeit ohne Amateure.
Die Jugend spielt seit Saison 12, in Saison 13 gelang der Aufstieg in die Youth League A.
