Der Commander Cup ist der Pokalwettbewerb des seit der Saison 46 bestehenden Länderverbunds Großbritannien und Irland. An ihm nehmen alle 54 Vereine der 1., 2. und 3. Liga teil und zehn Vereine aus dem Amateurpool des Verbandes teil.
Vorgängerwettbewerbe waren in England der FA-Cup, in Schottland der SFA-Cup und in Irland der FAI Cup.
Der Wettbewerb ist nach dem ehemaligen BMO-Manager Commander benannt, der 2015 verstorben ist.

Spielmodus
Es wird im pokaltypischen KO-System gespielt. Das Teilnehmerfeld umfasst 64 Vereine, welche in insgesamt sechs Runden den Sieger ermitteln.
Der Sieger wird jeweils in einem Spiel ermittelt, das ggf. verlängert wird. Fällt auch in der Verlängerung keine Entscheidung, folgt ein Elfmeterschießen.
Das Endspiel findet abwechselnd in England, Irland, Schottland, Nordirland und Wales statt.
