Der Verein
Der Hamilton Academical FC, bei seinen Anhängern auch Hamilton Accies bekannt wurde 1874 als Fußballteam einer Schule gegründet und ist in South Lanarkshire beheimatet.
Geschichte beim BMO
Die Accies sind eines der Teams beim BMO, das sich durch große Konstanz auf der Position des Managers auszeichnet. In der Saison 15 wurde das Team von Radikahl übernommen, der seitdem die sportliche Verantwortung innehat. Nach einer kurzen Anlaufphase konnte sich Hamilton ab Saison 21 in der Spitze der First League festsetzen. Es dauerte allerdings noch weitere neun Spielzeiten, bis in Saison 30 der erste Meistertitel gewonnen werden konnte.
