Die Saison 17 begann am 28.07.2007 und endete am 21.10.2007 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 18. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 04.08.2007 ausgespielt.

Neuerungen

Versteigerungen werden direkt bei Durchführung des Wechsels mit aufgenommen in die Übersicht der letzten Transfers, ausserdem gibt es nun dort auch wie bei einen normalen Wechsel eine IGM über die Durchführung des Wechsels (mit Angabe zur Formveränderung). Des Weiteren werden die Vereinsstationen nun auch bei Versteigerungen geloggt.

Analog zur Manager-/Vereinssuche kann nun auch nach Trainern per Name recherchiert werden.

Die Anzahl der möglichen Versteigerungen von Vereinsspielern wurde von 20 auf 40 erhöht.

Ereignisse

Für die Saisons 17 bis 19 wurden folgende drei Richter eingesetzt:

Die beiden Richter Devil1974 und Joernie wurden den Admins benannt. Es handelt sich um erfahrene, langjährige Manager, die die die Gruppe der "normalen" Manager repräsentieren. Der Richter lowrider wurde aus dem Kreis der Ligaleiter durch die BMO-Funktionäre (Admins & LLs) gewählt. Die Richter sind unabhängig und entscheiden nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen. Sie werden von den BMO-Funktionären uneingeschränkt unterstützt.

Ende August 2007 wurden dem BMO-Rechteinhaber und Administrator Alex1980 sowie dem Richter Devil1974 Manipulationen nachgewiesen. Beide räumten ein, bewusst, vorsätzlich und in mehreren Fällen die individuelle Maximalstärke ihrer eigenen Spieler zu ihren Gunsten verändert zu haben. Sie wurden daraufhin für zwei Saisons aus BMO ausgeschlossen.

Im Zuge dieser Affäre trat auch Richter Joernie zurück, so dass zwei neue Richter bestimmt werden mussten (Ado und Chaos).

Bereits im September 2007 wurde der nächste Skandal aufgedeckt. 15 Managern in verschiedenen Ländern, darunter so "erfolgreiche" Manager wie Phillippo, Scot Parker und Ken_Adams, konnte Cheating und Spielabsprachen und Multiusing nachgewiesen werden - sie wurden alle entlassen und erhielten eine Strafe. Wie sich später heraus stellte, handelte es sich um nur zwei reale Personen. Da es zu Wettbewerbsverzerrungen kam, wurde jedem betroffenen Verein eine gestaffelte Anzahl an Punkten abgezogen: wer aktuell auf dem 1.-6. Platz stand, erhielt 12 Punkte Abzug, wer auf dem 7.-12. Platz stand, erhielt 9 Punkte Abzug, wer auf einem schlechteren Platz als 12. stand, erhielt 6 Punkte Abzug.

Wer gemeint hatte, damit sei der Sumpf trocken gelegt, sah sich schon im Oktober 2007 getäuscht. Vier Manager in Irland und Italien, darunter der Richter Chaos, erwiesen sich als Multiuser. Alle betroffenen Manager wurden entlassen, Chaos erhielt neben einer Sperre für 2 Saisons eine lebenslange Sperre als Funktionär. Die betroffenen Vereine Kilkenny City, Bray Wanderers, Limavady United erhielten Punktabzüge von 27, 12 und 15 Punkten.
