Schottland gehört seit der zweiten Saison zum BMO. Nach drei Spielzeiten und einer anschließenden kurzen Unterbrechung, findet seit der Saison 8 ein regelmäßiger Ligenbetrieb statt. Wie alle anderen Verbände des BMO, besteht auch Schottland aus je zwei Profi-, Amateur- und Jugendligen.
In der 3-Jahreswertung der Länder belegt Schottland derzeit Platz 12 mit 30.97 Punkten.

Multi-Using Skandal (Saison 12-16)
Leider machte auch ein negatives Ereignis vor Schottland nicht halt. In den Saisons 14 und 16 konnte den damaligen Managern der Meister FC Peterhead (Saison 14) und Glasgow Rangers (Saison 16), Ken Adams und Berry Straw, Multiusing in Verbindung mit Spielabsprachen nachgewiesen werden. Zu diesen zwei Managern kamen noch ScotParker (Meister mit Forfar Athletic in den Saison 12, 13 und 15) und Sir Ivan hinzu, so dass vier Manager aus Schottland in diesen Skandal verwickelt waren. Dies traf die schottische Liga nicht nur in ihrem Ansehen, sondern auch in ihrer Glaubwürdigkeit sehr hart. Es dauerte sehr lange, bis sich der schottische Fußball von diesem Skandal erholt hatte. Hoffen wir, dass uns so etwas in Zukunft erspart bleibt.
