Die Airtricity First League ist die zweithöchste Amateurspielklasse im irische Fußball und seit der Saison 25 in das BMO-Universum integriert. Bis zum Ende der Saison 29 hieß die Airtricity Amateur League 2 noch Ericom Amateur League 2.
In der Gründungssaison Saison 25 bestand die Ericom First League aus 12 Vereinen. Anfang Saison 26 wurde die Liga um 4 Vereine erweitert und man spielte mit 16 Mannschaften die Ericom Amateur League 2 aus. Seit der Saison 27 spielen wieder 12 Mannschaften in der Ericom Amateur League 2.
Jeder Verein der Liga tritt in der Regel in Hin- und Rückspielen gegen jeden anderen Verein der 2. Liga an. Besonderheit dieser Liga ist, das es bei einer Liga mit 10-12 Mannschaften 2 Hin- und Rückspiele gibt. Die beste Mannschaft mit den meisten Punkten aus allen Spielen wird 2. Liga Meister, wobei dieses als Aufstieg in der Statistik vermerkt wird. Bei Punktgleichheit entscheidet das Torverhältnis. Ist auch dieses gleich, wird der Verein mit den mehr erzielten Toren "Meister". Des Weiteren steigen die besten 3 Mannschaften aus der 2. in die Airtricity Amateur League auf und die 2 schlechtesten Mannnschaften ab, wobei diese nicht wirklich absteigen, da es die niedrigste Profiklasse in Irland ist. Die Anzahl der Auf- und Absteiger variiert nach Anzahl der Vereine in der Airtricity Amateur League 2.
