Die Liga de Honra war von Saison 8 bis Saison 45 die zweite Liga in Portugal.
Aufsteiger
Jede Saison stiegen die drei Erstplatzierten der Liga de Honra in die erste portugiesische Liga auf, die Primeira Liga.
In der Saison 36 stieg allerdings nur der Meister der Liga de Honra auf, da die Primeira Liga auf 18 Vereine verkleinert wurde.
Rekordaufsteiger sindsomit FC Paços de Ferreira, AD Ovarense und CD Santa Clara, die jeweils sieben Mal in die Primeira Liga aufgestiegen sind.
Durch die Beendigung des Spielbetriebs der Liga de Honra zum Ende der Saison 45 wurden für die Saison 46 folgende Zweitliga-Klubs in die Primeira Liga kooptiert:
Dafür mussten AD Overense und der SC Beira-Mar auf ihr Aufstiegsrecht verzichten.
