Transfers

Im Vorjahr hatte sich Angel Asencio ausschließlich in Salzburgs B-Team bewähren dürfen. Kein einzges Mal stellte ihn Trainer Kevric in der Alpen-Superliga zwischen die Pfosten. Trotz dieser schwierigen Lage, blieb Asencio fokussiert und trainierte weiter gut mit; im Amateurteam war er selbstredend eine der Stützen. Diese Haltung wurde am Saisonende belohnt: Asencio nahm die Stufe zur Stärke 10. Joernie wollte nun den Torhüter nicht nochmals in der Amateurliga stecken, doch bei den Profis stand ihm Rüdiger Riegel (31/10) im Weg. Joernie wollte es sich angesichts der stets angespannten Finanzlage Austrias auch nicht leisten, zwei Torhüter der Stärke 10 im Kader zu halten. Deshalb entschloss er sich, dem erst in der Vorsaison geholten Rüdiger Riegel wieder abzugeben. Für Riegel, der nur 22 Spiele im Trikot des SVAS absolvierte, war das natürlich keine erfreuliche Entwicklung. Enttäuscht und verärgert schloss er sich dem Drittligisten (!) 1. FC Magdeburg an. Rückblickend brachten Riegel sein Abgang von seinem Heimatverein TSV 1860 München keinen Erfolg. Weder in Dortmund noch in Salzburg wurde er heimisch und Titel konnte er bei diesen Stationen auch nicht buchen. Zur Refinanzierung des Wechsels einigten sich die beiden Manager Reibos und Jornie darauf, dass der 25-jährige Ralph Draguscha nach Salzburg kam. Die Österreichter mussten allerdings schon noch rd. 7 Mio. € draufpacken. Mit Dragusche konnte Joernie einen viel versprechenden Torwart der Stärke 8 verpflichten, der dereinst Nachfolger von Asencio werden könnte. Außerdem erhoffte sich Joernie, Salzburgs Amateurtorwart Jonas Brandmayer dadurch zu mehr Anstrengungen zu animieren, denn die Entwicklung des 25-jährigen Österreichers vollzog sich bis dato eher im Schneckentempo. Draguscha, der aus der Jugend des 1. FC Magdeburg stammt, konnte sich schon in seiner ersten Profisaison bei seinem Heimatverein durchsetzen und war auch vergangenes Jahr die Nummer 1 im Kaster der Magedburger - aber wohl gemerkt, in Deutschlands 3. Liga.
