Der FC Sion ist ein Fussballclub aus Schweizer Stadt Sitten (frz. Sion). Der Klub wurde 1909 gegründet. Bei BMO ist er seit der Saison 5 vertreten.
Sitten (französisch Sion, Walliser Patois Chyoun, lateinisch Sedunum, walliserdeutsch Sittu) ist der Hauptort des Kantons Wallis in der Schweiz. Sitten liegt an der Mündung der Sionne in die Rhone. Sitten hat rd. 33.000 Einwohner. Während Sitten in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts noch eine zweisprachige Stadt war (1870 sprachen noch über 50% der Einwohner Deutsch), hat das Französische inzwischen die deutsche Sprache weitgehend verdrängt. Etwa 70% der Sittener sind französischer, nur noch 5% deutscher und ebenfalls 5% italienischer Muttersprache. Charakteristisch für Sitten ist das mittelalterliche Stadtbild, beherrscht von den Felsen Valère (621 m ü. M.) mit der Wallfahrtskirche Notre-Dame de Valère (12./13. Jahrhundert) und Tourbillon (655 m ü. M.) mit der Ruine des ehemaligen bischöflichen Schlosses Tourbillon aus dem 13. Jahrhundert.
