Die Saison 48 begann am 09.05.2016 und endete am 25.08.2016 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 49. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 28.05.2016 ausgespielt.

Ereignisse
Der Saisonübergang auf Saison 49 verzögerte sich vom 07.08.2016 bis zum 25.08.2016, weil sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt sowohl Flinx als auch Hardkore im Krankenhaus befanden und Flinx auch anschließend nicht erreichbar war. Auch der Saisonstart von Saison 49 war davon betroffen.
Mit den Saisonabschluss schied Marquinho als Admin aus. Damit verlor BMO auch einen der beiden Programmierer.
Nachfolger Marquinhos als Admin wurde btownie.
Auch bei den Ligenleitern gab es einige Veränderungen: Neu hinzu kamen Hans-Bert Matoul und Aotearoa als Ersatz für die ausscheidenden Smoerre und Radikahl.
Aufgrund der personellen Engpässe mussten die Kontinentalmeisterschaften der Saison 48 ausfallen.
