Der FAI Cup ist der irische Pokalwettbewerb. An ihm nehmen alle Vereine der Eircom Premier League, der Eircom First League und die zwei bestplatziertesten Vereine der Eircom Amateur League teil.
Spielmodus
Es wird im pokaltypischen KO-System gespielt. Das Teilnehmerfeld umfasst 32 Vereine, welche in insgesamt fünf Runden den Sieger ermitteln.
Der Sieger wird jeweils in einem Spiel ermittelt, das ggf. verlängert wird. Fällt auch in der Verlängerung keine Entscheidung, folgt ein Elfmeterschießen.
