Der Taca de Portugal ist der portugiesische Pokalwettbewerb für Vereine der SuperLiga und der Liga de Honra. Um ein Starterfeld mit 32 Vereinen zu bekommen, durften in den letzten Jahren auch stets einige Amateurmannschaften teilnehmen. Der Taca de Portugal wird seit der Saison 8 ausgespielt, als Portugal in das BMO-Universum aufgenommen wurde.
Spielmodus
Gespielt wird im KO-System in fünf Runden: Vorrunde - Achtelfinale - Viertelfinale - Halbfinale - Finale. Der Sieger wird jeweils in einem Spiel ermittelt, das ggf. verlängert wird. Fällt auch in der Verlängerung keine Entscheidung, folgt ein Elfmeterschießen.
Das Finale findet traditionell im Estádio Nacional do Jamor, dem Nationalstadion Portugals, in Oeiras statt.
