Die Saison 39 begann am 28.10.2013 und endete am 27.01.2014 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 40. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 16.11.2013 ausgespielt.

Neuerungen
Formänderungen am Saisonende
Formgewinne und -verluste am Saisonende werden etwas geringer ausfallen als bisher, damit sich "Doppelbelohnungen" und "Doppelbestrafungen" weniger stark auswirken:
a) Die Formgewinne und -verluste bei Meisterschaft/Aufstieg bzw. Abstieg werden von 10 auf 5 reduziert. Weil das Saisonziel in diesen Fällen stets erreicht (+ 5 Forpunkte) bzw. verfehlt wird (- 5 Formpunkte), summieren sich Formgewinne bzw. -verluste künftig nur noch auf 10 statt auf 15 Punkte.
b) Die Formgewinne und -verluste für die beste/schwächste Abwehr sowie den schwächsten Sturm der Liga werden von +/- 5 auf +/- 3 Punkte reduziert.
Transferliste
Werden Spieler auf die Transferliste gesetzt, wird es nun notwendig sein, eine Preisvorstellung anzugeben. Wie Ihr vielleicht schon bemerkt habt, wird Euch auch direkt angezeigt, ob es potentielle Interessenten an einem Spieler gibt, den Ihr auf die Transferliste gesetzt habt, also Vereine, die einen Scout nach dem Spielertyp ausgesandt haben, damit Ihr schneller in Kontakt treten könnt.
Transferpause
Direkttransfers für die laufende Saison sind ab sofort nur noch bis TAT 7 möglich. Anschließend ist eine Woche Transferpause. Transfers zur neuen Saison beginnen dann ab TAT 8.
Grund für diese Änderung ist, dass ausreichend Zeit sein soll, um Standby-Verträge vergeben zu können. Bisher war es möglich, dass ein Spieler durch die Unterschrift des Gegenübers unmittelbar vor TAT 8 gewechselt ist und dann keine Standby-Verträge mehr vergeben werden konnten.
Die neue eine Woche Transferpause soll aber von den Managern auch dazu genutzt werden, um die sonstigen Vertragsmodalitäten zu regeln, zum Beispiel Verlängerungen von Spieler- und Trainerverträgen.
