Weg zu BMO
Als leidenschaftlicher Spieler der Anstoss-Serie suchte ich im Herbst 2008 nach einem Online-Fußballmanager, bei dem man auch in Kontakt mit Gleichgesinnten treten konnte anstatt die Zeit alleine mit Anstoss 3 zu verbringen. Bei der Suche über eine wohlbekannte Suchmaschine stieß ich auf BMO, wo ich mich im September 2008 anmeldete und meine erste Bewerbung so gleich ins Forum schrieb. Es sollte die Türkei werden, da insgesamt nur wenige Vereine frei waren und das Land dabei Konkurrenten wie Osteuropa und Skandinavien vom Interesse her ausstach. Soweit ich mich erinnere gab ich in der Bewerbung als Fan des 1. FC Köln an, dass ich durch (ex-)Trainer Christoph Daum und (ex-)Kapitän Ümit Özat eine gewisse Verbindung mit der Türkei hätte und habe es damit auch letztenendes zu einem türkischen Club geschafft.
Stationen
Samsunspor
In der Rückrunde von Saison 20 wurde ich durch den damaligen Ligaleiter Schirge im September 2008 bei Samsunspor eingestellt. Leider wurde ich bereits nach einem Monat entlassen, da ich mich entweder nicht aktiv gemeldet hatte oder einmal das Setzen für den anstehenden TAT vergessen hatte. Überhaupt war ich am Anfang nicht richtig bei Sache und fand mich nur schwer zurecht. Da Samsunspor beim nächsten Login noch frei war, bewarb ich mich noch einmal und wurde wieder eingestellt. Das Team galt als einer der Abstiegskandidaten, der Abstieg konnte jedoch mit Glück vermieden werden, auch wenn ich mich bis dahin noch nicht mit dem Tore setzen zurechtfand. Weniger Glück hatten die Amateure, die leider abgestiegen sind. Dies jedoch ohne Auswirkung, da es keine 2. Amateurliga in der Türkei gibt. In Saison 22 wurde ich aktiver, auch im Forum. In langen Gesprächen mit dem neuen Ligaleiter Bravo fand ich mich nach und nach mit den Besonderheiten des Spiels zurecht und schaffte letztendlich nochmals den Klassenerhalt, diesmal auch mit den Amateuren. Als problematisch stellen sich bis heute der Kader Samsunspors als auch die finanzielle Situation des Vereins dar, welcher von den Vorgängern absolut herunter gewirtschaftet worden ist. Letztlich wurden keine der schlechten und alten Spieler abgesetzt, so dass auch keine Neuverpflichtungen getätigt werden konnten. Mein erstes Frusterlebnis bei BMO.
Manisaspor
Zu Beginn der Saison 22 wurde der Club Manisaspor frei. Aufgrund der wenig aussichtsreichen Lage bei Samsunspor entschied ich mich nach Rücksprache mit Bravo zu einem Wechsel. Ausschlaggebend war die sportliche Perspektive, die Manisaspor zu diesem Zeitpunkt zu bieten hatte. Neben dem halbfertigen Profikader überzeugte mich sowohl das Potential in der Jugend als auch bei den Amateuren, in Zukunft eine attraktive Mannschaft aufbauen zu können. Gleich in meiner ersten Saison fing ich mit den nötigen Umbauarbeiten an, auch wenn ich dafür einige Talente zusammen mit weniger guten Spielern abgeben musste. Mit den Profis konnte ich am Saisonende durch viel Glück die Europa-Cup-Qualifikation erreichen, die Amateure wurden sogar Meister, ein erster kleiner Erfolg.
