Zwei altgediente Akteure des FC Porto beendeten zum Saisonwechsel 30/31 ihre Karriere: Abwehrspieler Nuno Morais war in seiner gesamten Laufbahn als Spieler nur für den FC Porto aktiv und brachte es auf insgesamt 314 Liga-Spiele, davon ??? in der SuperLiga. Insgesamt gelangen ihm 45 Tore. Stolze 67-mal wurde er international eingesetzt und im Pokal kam er auf 30 Einsätze. Neunmal durfte Nuno Morais mit der portugiesischen Nationalelf auflaufen und erzielte dabei zwei Tore. Mit Stürmer Veiga beendete der bis dahin größte Star die Dragoes seine Karriere. Der Rekordnationalspieler (32 Spiele, 17 Tore) war der bis dato einzige Spieler der Stärke 12 der Portuenser und stand ???-mal für den FC Porto auf dem Platz und schoss dabei ??? Tore. Er ist damit der Rekordtorschütze der Dragoes. Veiga war in Saison ??? vom VfB Stuttgart zum FC Porto gekommen. Sein Ausbildungsverein war Vitoria Guimaraes. Insgesamt kann Veiga auf 420 Ligaspiele mit 294 Tore, 79 internationale Spiele mit 35 Toren sowie 16 Pokalspielen mit 10 Toren zurückblicken.
Die Lücke in der Defensive schloss Joernie unverzüglich mit dem dänischen Nationalspieler Thomas Bisgaard. Der 32-jährige Abwehrspieler kam vom spanischen Pokalsieger Espanyol Barcelona. 11 Mio. € mussten die Portugiesen dafür nach Katalonien überweisen. Bisgaard spielte zunächst beim dänischen Klub Viborg FF. Bereits als 13-jähriger wagte er den Sprung ins Ausland und ließ sich in den Jugendmannschaften des Sheffield United FC ausbilden. Allerdings blieb er nicht in England, sondern ließ sich nach Japan locken zu Gamba Osaka. Nach ein paar Jahren kehrte er wieder nach Europa zurück und unterschrieb beim griechischen Spitzenklub Panathinaikos Athen. Mit 29 Jahren setzte Bisgaard seine Odysee fort und wechselte zum FC Dundee nach Schottland. Von dort wurde er allerdings noch in derselben Saison nach Polen ausgeliehen, zum Osteuropa-Erstligisten Wisla Krakau. Nach Ablauf der Saison ging Thomas Bisgaard aber nicht mehr nach Schottland zurück, sondern suchte sich mit Espanyol Barcelona zu Beginn der Saison 29 einen neuen Arbeitgeber. Dort blieb er nun aber auch nur zwei Jahre. Man wird also gespannt sein dürfen, ob Bisgaard beim FC Porto etwas länger bleibt.
