Sherlock Holmes ist ein englischer Detektiv im Ruhestand und Chef-Scout und Statistiker in Diensten von CS Marítimo Funchal
Sherlock Holmes als Detektiv
Sherlock Holmes gilt als berühmtester englischer Detektiv. Wohnhaft ist er in der Bakerstreet 221b, zeitweilig zusammen mit seinem Freund und Kollegen Dr. Watson. Nachdem er sich zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts zur Ruhe setzte, wurde er in Saison 30 von Manager Marquinho in seiner Wohnung aufgesucht.
Sherlock Holmes als Chef-Scout und Statistiker
Nachdem Manager Marquinho eine längere Unterredung mit Sherlock Holmes führte, erklärte sich dieser bereit, ihm in Spezialfällen zu helfen. Dies bezog sich zunächst nur auf offizielle Tätigkeiten des Manager für die FPK und seine Aufgabe als Ligenleiter von BNL. Nach nur einer Saison, also gegen Ende der Saison 30, war das Interesse von Sherlock Holmes für Fußball jedoch so groß, dass er einem Engagement beim Verein von CS Marítimo Funchal zustimmte. Dabei unterschrieb er einen Vertrag, der an das Engagement von Manager Marquinho gebunden ist.
Die genauen Aufgaben von Sherlock Holmes beim Verein sind nur Manager Marquinho bekannt. Bekannt wurde das Engagement für den Verein insbesondere durch einen Zeitungsartikel, für den Sherlock Holmes die Daten zur Verfügung gestellt hatte. Dabei wurden akribisch die Daten zu den Gehältern der Vereine in der Primeira Liga aufgelistet. Es wird gemunkelt, dass sich Sherlock Holmes vor allem um Statistiken und Werte im Verein bemüht. So beobachtet er häufig die Spieler bei der Trainingsarbeit - nicht nur auf dem heimischen Platz, sondern auch die Spieler von anderen Vereinen.
Zur Saison 33 kam dann auch der alte Freund und Kollege von Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson zu CS Marítimo Funchal. Er fungiert im Verein als Mannschaftsarzt - sein Fachgebiet sind Kriegsverletzungen, da er in jungen Jahren unter anderem im 2. Afghanistan-Krieg im Einsatz war.
