Die BSG Wismut Aue e.V. ist Fußballverein aus Aue. Die Geschichte des Klubs geht zurück bis 1949, als das Pneumatikwerk Aue die bereits seit 1945 bestehende Sportgruppe Aue als BSG Pneumatik Aue übernahm. Im Sommer 1950 übernahm die Sowjetische Aktien-Gesellschaft Wismut die BSG und änderte ihren Namen in BSG Zentra Wismut Aue. Ein Jahr später wurde der Name auf BSG Wismut Aue verkürzt. Nach der Wende 1989 zerfiel die BSG, die Fußballabteilung übernahm der FC Erzgebirge Aue. 2019 wurde die BSG Wismut Aue als e.V. neu gegründet.
Aue ist ein Ortsteil der Großen Kreisstadt Aue-Bad Schlema (ca. 16.000 Einwohner) im sächsischen Erzgebirgskreis. Der Ortsteil liegt in einem tiefen Talkessel der Zwickauer Mulde und galt bis zum Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts als bedeutende Bergbau- und Industriestadt. Im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert erlebte sie durch den Abbau und die Verarbeitung von Eisen-, Silber- und Zinnerzen sowie von Kaolinerde eine erste Blüte. Durch die Gewinnung von Nickel aus den in der Umgebung vorkommenden Erzen und die Erzeugung von Argentan sowie die Industrialisierung im 19. Jahrhundert siedelten sich bedeutende Betriebe der Metallverarbeitung, des Maschinenbaus und der Textilverarbeitung an und trugen zu einem neuen Aufschwung bei. Eine dritte Blütezeit begann nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, als durch die SDAG Wismut der Abbau von Uran vorangetrieben wurde.
Bei BMO ist die BSG Wismut Aue seit der Saison 40 vertreten.
