Die Skandinavia 1 ist die höchste Spielklasse des Länderverbundes Skandinavien, in der Dänemark, Finnland, Norwegen und Schweden einen gemeinsamen Meister ausspielen. Seit der Saison 10 ist sie fester Bestandteil des BMO.


Struktur der Liga

20 Mannschaften spielen die Meisterschaft in Hin- und Rückrunde aus. Der Meister qualifiziert sich für die BMO-Europa-Liga, während die Platzierungen 2-5 zur Teilnahme am BMO-Europa-Cup berechtigen. Die letzten drei Mannschaften steigen ab in die Skandinavia 2.
