Fenerbahçe Istanbul (offiziell Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş.; kurz Fener) ist ein türkischer Fußballverein aus Kadıköy in Istanbul und bildet die Fußballabteilung des Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü.
Kadıköy (zu deutsch: Richterdorf) liegt auf der asiatischen Seite Istanbuls und ist als Gemeinde mit rd. 482.000 Einwohnern Mitgliedsgemeinde der Großstadtkommune Istanbul (rd. 15,8 Mio. Einwohner).
Istanbul, von altgriechisch εἰς τὴν πόλιν eis tḕn pólin, „in die Stadt“), früher Byzantion (Byzanz) und Konstantinopel, ist die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt der Türkei und deren Zentrum für Kultur, Handel, Finanzen und Medien und eine der größten Metropolregionen der Welt. Mit jährlich über 14 Millionen Touristen aus dem Ausland ist Istanbul überdies die Stadt mit der achtgrößten Besucherzahl der Welt. Die Stadt liegt am Nordufer des Marmarameeres auf beiden Seiten des Bosporus, also sowohl im europäischen Thrakien als auch im asiatischen Anatolien. Aufgrund ihrer weltweit einzigartigen Transitlage zwischen zwei Kontinenten und zwei Meeresgebieten, dem Schwarzen Meer und dem Mittelmeer, verzeichnet sie einen bedeutenden Schiffsverkehr und verfügt über zwei große Flughäfen, zentrale Eisenbahn-Fernbahnhöfe und zwei Fernbusbahnhöfe. Das Projekt Marmaray, ein Eisenbahntunnel unter dem Bosporus, verbindet beide Kontinente. Istanbul ist daher einer der wichtigsten Knotenpunkte für Verkehr und Logistik auf internationaler wie nationaler Ebene. Im Jahr 660 v. Chr. unter dem Namen Byzantion gegründet, kann die Stadt auf eine 2700-jährige Geschichte zurückblicken. Fast 1600 Jahre lang diente sie nacheinander dem Römischen, dem Byzantinischen und dem Osmanischen Reich als Hauptstadt. Als Sitz des ökumenischen Patriarchen und – bis 1924 – des osmanischen Kalifats war Istanbul zudem jahrhundertelang ein bedeutendes Zentrum des orthodoxen Christentums und des sunnitischen Islams. Das Stadtbild ist von Bauten der griechisch-römischen Antike, des mittelalterlichen Byzanz sowie der neuzeitlichen und modernen Türkei geprägt. Paläste gehören ebenso dazu wie zahlreiche Moscheen, Cemevleri, Kirchen und Synagogen. Aufgrund ihrer Einzigartigkeit wurden Teile der historischen Altstadt von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt. 2010 war Istanbul Kulturhauptstadt Europas.

Fenerbahce Istanbul bei BMO
Fenerbahce Istanbul SK ist sozusagen DAS Aushängeschild der Türkei, sowie Südosteuropas. Der Verein besteht seit nunmehr 28 Saisons im BMO - Universum und galt schon immer als eine beständig, große Hausnummer auch im internationalen Fußball.Schon in der ersten Saison der BMO - Vereinsgeschichte fuhr man direkt 2 Titel ein.Unter dem damaligen Manager Kopfnicker2k sicherte man sich die türkische Meisterschaft sowie den nationalen Pokalsieg. Nach einer erfolgreichen ersten Saison und einem Wechsel auf der höchsten Position im Verein, dem Manager, begann die große und äußerst erfolgreiche Ära von Romolus.In 20 Saisons als Manager bei "Fener" sicherte er dem Verein sage und schreibe 14 Titel, darunter auch der bisher größte Erfolg der Vereinsgeschichte, dem EuropaCup Triumph in Saison 16.Nach dieser erfolgreichen Zeit unter Romolus, die auch die Anhänger Fenerbahces nicht vergessen haben, übernahm dann ein neuer Mann das Zepter - Smoochy. Und Smoochy war es auch der die "Gelb - Blauen" nach 5 Saisons ohne Titel wieder zur Meisterschaft führte.Nur eine Saison darauf, in Saison 28 folgte sogar ein weiterer nationaler Pokalerfolg! Doch so schnell er kam, so plötzlich verschwand er auch wieder.Nach nur 2 Saisons als Manager bei den Türken wechselte er den Verein und machte Platz für einen neuen Mann an der Spitze - Flo! 5 Saisons ist der junge Manager nun im Amt und obwohl er noch keinen einzigen Titel holte und die Mannschaft ständig denkbar knapp und mit viel Pech gescheitert ist, vertraut man ihm weiter!Der Kader entwickelt sich gut und man sieht eine klare Vision und dennoch, sollte er sich mit einem Titel nicht mehr zu lange Zeit lassen...
