Benedikt Weidenfeller ist ein deutscher Mittelfeldspieler der Stärke 9. Er hat kein reales Spielervorbild und kam vermutlich über das Scouting in das BMO-Universum.
Seine fußballerische Ausbildung erhielt Weidenfeller, der jüngere Bruder von Marco Weidenfeller, beim FSV Mainz 05. Die ersten beiden Saisons wurde er noch im Amateurteam eingesetzt, dann gelang ihm der Sprung ins Profiteam der Mainzer. Seinen ersten Titel errang er mit dem FSV Mainz 05 in der Saison 12, als er Deutscher Meister wurde. Dann nahm er ein Angebot aus Portugal an und unterschrieb einen 3-Jahres-Vertrag beim FC Porto. Mit dem FC Porto gewann Weidenfeller in der Saison 14 das portugiesische Double. Trotz dieses Erfolgs verließ Weidenfeller den FC Porto in Saison 16 und kehrte in seine pfälzische Heimat zurück: zum 1. FC Kaiserlautern. Doch zunächst musste er sich in Kaiserslautern mit einer Joker-Rolle begnügen. Erst in Saison 17 lief es dann besser für ihn, ohne allerdings wirklich den Durchbruch zu schaffen. Das darauffolgenden Jahr entwickelte sich für Weidenfeller zum anus horrible: er verlor weitgehend den Anschluss an das Team und spielte nur noch sehr sporadisch. Deshalb war es nicht überraschend, als Weidenfeller zur Saison 19 seine Zelte in Kaiserslautern wieder abbrach und erneut sein Glück im Ausland suchte. Diesmal in Griechenland, bei Ex-Meister Panionios Athen, der ebenfalls ein Krisenjahr (Platz 11) hinter sich hatte.
Seinem Ziel, in den Kreis der deutschen Nationalmannschaft zu stoßen, ist er bislang noch nicht näher gekommen.
