Neuerungen
Der Boom setzte dann in Saison 3 ein. Man beschränkte sich nicht nur auf Fussballforen, in denen man warb, sondern auch bei anderen PbEms wurde geworben. Mancher Spielleiter nimmt es dem BMO noch heute übel, dass man bei ihnen geworben hat. Man beschimpfte den BMO damals als den blauen Manager, da die Hauptfarbe ein sehr dominierendes blau war, was Kuma das BMO-Blau nannte. Es entspricht der RGB Farbkodierung #000088 und findet noch heute an mancher Stelle Verwendung. Eine lange Lebzeit prophezeite man dem Spiel damals nicht. Dennoch war der Andrang so gross, dass man Ligen in Spanien, Holland, Schottland und Portugal eröffnen konnte. Das Spiel war nicht mehr nur ein kleiner Zeitvertreib, sondern hatte bereits mehr als 100 Manager. Die Anmeldungen wurden von einem Manager bearbeitet, die Transfers widerum von einem anderen und auch jede Liga hatte weiterhin einen eigenen Ligenleiter. In dieser Saison wurden erstmals europäische Wettbewerbe durchgeführt. Auch diese hatten einen eigenen Leiter. Der Zeitaufwand stieg weiter, da nun auch mehr Transfers möglich waren und mehrere Ligen 18 Vereine hatten.
Wegen der grossen Spielerzahl wurde auch ein Serverbetreiber aufmerksam und stellte den Webspace, der sowohl PHP-fähig war als auch Datenbankanbindung hatte, die damals nur zu Forenzwecken genutzt wurde. Ausserdem spendierte er die Domain www.bulimao.de. Ein guter Deal, wenn der Server nicht jeden 3. Sonntag für mehrere Stunden ausgefallen wäre. Wichtig war es Kuma immer darauf zu achten, dass Werbung auf ein geringes Maß reduziert bleibt. Kaum etwas stört den Spielspaß so sehr wie ein Pop-up-Fenster, das mitten im Bildschirm auftaucht.
Ereignisse
In England wurde wieder ManU Meister, in Deutschland endlich der FC Bayern, in Italien auch diesmal der AS Rom, auch in der Alpenliga das gleiche Bild. Auch diese Saison dauerte wieder etwas länger als sein Vorgänger.
Der 'Fall Blue Bird' war eines der weniger erfreulichen Ereignisse in Saison 3, der Grund für den ersten Spielausschluss eines Managers.
Als neue Ligenleiter engagierten sich Sven Knoche (bekannt als Knochi), Rainer Unsinn , André Schröter (bekannt als Kopfnicker2k), Csabi Burus (bekannt als Gaskanne) und Julian Heyn (bekannt als Jetty).
