Die EM der Saison 20 wurde vom spanischen Fußballverband ausgerichtet. Gespielt wurde in acht Vierergruppen. Jedes Team bekam 6 Tore auf das Torkonto, eine Teilung in Heim- und Auswärtstorkonto gab es nicht. Die jeweils Erst- und Zweitplatzierten zogen ins Achtelfinale ein. Die Erstplatzierten bekamen hierbei 5 Tore auf ihr Torkonto gutgeschrieben, die Zweitplatzierten 4 Tore. Das Überstehen des Viertelfinales brachte erneut eine Gutschrift von 4 Toren auf die Torkonten der verbleibenden Teilnehmer.

Der Hintergrund

Als neuer Nationaltrainer von Spanien versuche ich neue Wege einzuschlagen, um mein Land zum Erfolg zu führen.

Die Primera Division zählt zu den angesehensten Ligen der Welt, doch die Qualität der Liga hat stetig abgenommen. Unter den besten 30 Teams Weltweit ist nur eine spanische Mannschaft vertreten - Athletic Bilbao auf Platz 11. Mit der ersten EM im eigenen Land soll besonders der Nachwuchs noch mehr vom Fußball begeistert werden, um langfristig Talente zu finden und die nationale Liga sowie das Nationalteam wieder zu verbessern.

EM Saison 20 in Spanien – so würde es aussehen:

Das Logo

Im Mittelpunkt des EM Logos, welches sich in einem Wettbewerb von einheimischen Künstlern durchgesetzt hat, steht ein Stier. Nicht nur wegen den berühmten Stierkämpfen denkt man bei Stieren sofort an Spanien. Mit wild, temperamentvoll, spektakulär, kraftvoll und doch elegant, könnte man sowohl einen Stier als auch den Spanischen Fußball charakterisieren. Hier wird Fußball noch gelebt!

Durch große Vereine in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia oder Sevilla stehen in Spanien erstklassige Stadien zur Verfügung. Die Stadien für die EM wurden nach Größe, Modernität und Fußballtauglichkeit ausgewählt. Einzig in Sevilla wartet auf die Zuschauer ein Olympiastadion, ansonsten trennen die Fans nur wenige Meter von ihren Stars. In den Großstädten Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla und Zaragoza wartet eine erstklassige Infrastruktur auf alle Besucher dieses Events der Extraklasse. Außerdem sind alle Stadien, bis auf Camp Nou in Barcelona, komplett überdacht. Jedoch schmerzt der impulsive Anblick des 115.000 Plätze fassenden Stadions über das teilweise fehlende Dach sicher hinweg. Das alle Spielorte die aktuellen Sicherheitsvorschriften erfüllen ist natürlich selbstverständlich. Als besonderes „Schmankerl“ warten auf tausende Fans teils hochmoderne und neu erbaute Stadien. Das schon erwähnte Camp Nou wird auf 115.000 Plätze ausgebaut, in San Sebastian, Valencia, Zaragoza und Barcelona werden komplett neue Arenen zur EM gebaut.

Die neun Spielorte werden nach der Entfernung auf die acht Gruppen aufgeteilt. Einzig im Camp Nou werden keine Gruppenspiele ausgetragen. Im Camp Nou werden nur KO-Spiele stattfinden, um den 115.000 Zuschauern ein grandioses Spektakel zu bieten.

Ich hoffe, Spanien wird bei der Vergabe der EM berücksichtigt.
