Der FAI Cup ist der irische Pokalwettbewerb. An ihm nehmen alle Vereine der Airtricity Premier League, der Airtricity First League und vier Vereine aus dem Amateurpool des Verbandes teil.

Spielmodus
Es wird im pokaltypischen KO-System gespielt. Das Teilnehmerfeld umfasst 32 Vereine, welche in insgesamt fünf Runden den Sieger ermitteln.
Der Sieger wird jeweils in einem Spiel ermittelt, das ggf. verlängert wird. Fällt auch in der Verlängerung keine Entscheidung, folgt ein Elfmeterschießen.
