Der FA-Cup ist der englische Pokalwettbewerb für Vereine, an dem neben den Profiklubs aus der Premier League, der The Championship und der League One auch 14 Mannschaften aus der Amateur Championship teilnehmen dürfen, um das Starterfeld von 64 Teams zu komplettieren.

Spielmodus

Gespielt wird im KO-System in 6 Runden: 1. Vorrunde, 2. Vorrunde, Achtelfinale, Viertelfinale, Halbfinale, Finale. Der Sieger wird jeweils in einem Spiel ermittelt, das ggf. verlängert wird. Fällt auch in der Verlängerung keine Entscheidung, folgt ein Elfmeterschießen.
